This^^.

It's no different than a Foose or Boyd car. The builder's name and workmanship adds the value, not so much the model. This bus now has a TV show episode of the build that'll carry on with it from owner to owner now...some people like that stuff. The owner is now part of the Kindig "family" without having to spend a year+ in Dave's version of the Thursday club. The price reflects it being a Kindig car more than it being a VW bus.

I worked on an old Boyd car once. Some 33/34 roadster. Looked nice at first, but when you start taking stuff off you see that it's a piece of fucking shit like the rest of them.

I know you guys won't admit to slumming through the bay window classifieds, so here you go.

a friend of mine has a good friend that owns a hot rod shop and said the same thing about gas monkey because he worked on two of them. maybe they have gotten better but who knows. some don't look to bad on tv.

That BJ bus doesn't look all the appealing to me but that bus isn't my thing. i'll just keep slumming it up in the early bays for awhile until the price of split buses come down. besides early bays just ride so much better and more comfortable to drive if your tall.

You might even talk them into allowing a reserve on your bus JJ. Apparently they only allow a few cars to get a reserve. That'd make it stress free for you.

I know the auction houses take hefty fees, but should the Mail Bus make big dollars, is there income taxes due on profits?

I'm just leary of all these auctions. I think the IRS keeps close tabs on this stuff. :-k

Not that it has anything to do with that outrageous price, but it belongs to and is being sold by Jesse James.
