Beads? That's a crock of shit. I didn't think anyone actually believed that works

Andy they work. Pretty much all RV shops have been using them or BBs for 10+ years. I have used them in my motorcycles and classic cars for years. great with biasplys since you get flat spots. the beads move accordingly.

Must be smart bb's. "if it shakes, just stop and let the smart bb's rebalance"
Not buying it at all, it's my daily job. Balancing is what I do, and never seen bb's balance anything. You might get lucky and it feel good 1 spin, but it won't repeat.

I haven't tried the BB's but I've talked to a lot of guys that said it was absolute bullshit...

Andy, only reason I wanted to use the beads was because I don't want weights on my rear outers. how would you mount the weights?

I'd rather run no balance than those. If you look at a wheel as 360 degrees (duh it's a circle), there is only 1 spot or degree where that weight actually helps, 359 other degrees it's not helping.

Mine have regular weights.. tape over em.. on the front and insides.. I can't see a weight on the rear outers.. but maybe I just can't seem em... I have had mine balanced numerous times.. and I can't seem to get 100% of the vibration to go away... I think the wheel is so fucking heavy, that it transfers the vibration really well.... I'm not saying mine is bad.. I'm just syain.. it's no like a 2015 stock truck. I even bought that "tru balance" kit that helps centers the wheel on thge lugs.. cause they are actually hub piloted... anyway.

I hope you get a brand new car out of the wreck.. that sucks.. they are never quite the same after repairs are done. :-# :-# :-# :-# :-#

That's interesting... My old boss had a 95 (I think) dually slammed on semi wheels. He was constantly battling wheel vibrations as well.

The wheels themselves are 65lb's. the adpaters are probably 40 pounds each.. thats alot of weight out on that spindle.. :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k the lug nuts take a 33mm socket #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o !!!!

Any rolling object is going to oscillate some no matter how perfectly balanced. Road irregularities, squish in the tires sidewall, and alignment will cause vibration. All the extra weight of those wheels on under sized suspension only magnifies vibration.

John it could also be the angle of the driveshaft/rear end angle. Rear end stays the same but the center bearing moves with the frame. 65 mph shakes? Rear view mirror or viberation in the seats= Driveshaft.
Get the truck driving and shaking then change ride hight in the back, see if that helps/hurts

Good point, the driveshaft may need to be shortened slightly.

We've had the drive shafts balanced.. I should put some go pro's around and put it on the highway and find the vibration! :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k
