I miss the roaring fork, the 80's in Basalt was some of my favorite times, outside of fatherhood of course

Wow, this thread took off yesterday. Nice fish, those are beautiful. Its been a while since I have done any trout fishing. I traded my orvis for a red line when I was younger. #-o fly rod for bike!! Hey, priorities were diffrent in my early twenties. :-"
It's also good to here folks enjoying their bus with friends. I am 43 and never drove a bus, :-# I have always been a bettle guy. My wife wants one badly so I know that day will come.

Have a great day folks.

Hi y'all. I'm "the guy", name's Paul Sexton. Been snooping y'all's forum pages and like what I'm seeing.
A little history on the SC… My Dad's had it for 25 years!! Fosho…25 years. He's hammered and filled, hammered some more, never got her finished and last Thansksgiving decided to sell it, gave it to me instead. Dad's turning 80 in AUG. How cool would it be to regift his SC, all done up nice and pretty in KCW style?… pretty damn cool, huh?
I'm currently in Central Texas. You'd think there'd be ample air-cooled aficionados, but no. Contacted the local VW club president for a list of reputable shops…. and there's none he'd recommend. Except KCW in CO. So, here we are.
Been amassing a rather large pile of Benjis… we'll see what happens.
