HUTCH

84-85 HUTCH expert racer project. Scored it in a local junkyard. Its a local custom built bike with the shops sticker still on it. Has Z-rims (one is cracked) and Z-hubs. I need a few parts. Not shure if I want to find another Z-rim or put some Araya style rims on it. I do like the white and black spokes.

A Hutch with Z rims...sonofa...that's the troof son! I seem to remember some myth about being able to put Z rims in the freezer if they cracked? LOL! Now you've got my head going on all those crazy BMX bikes from back in the day...Redline...Diamond Back Hairy Larry Turbo...I loved that stuff.
Swinging hammers and turning wrenches since '94.

That was a big myth about the freezer. To us it was if the were bent. We tried. I rember one guy had his in the deep freeze for weeks. Z's were great untill we started doing 180's. Then it was a flex contest, who could taco there wheel the most. I have a pic somewere.

weird how that myth was so wide spread in the 80's before all the techno babble

No, its a 1963 Columbia Newsboy Special with some fabrication & parts from other vintage bikes mixed in, and some new parts.

Here is the BUILD THREAD... on page 4 I'm wearing KCW swag!! Smile

Yes it does. I was rumaging through stuff in my mom's basement and snaped a low light cell phone pic.

I guess I could have dragged it out to daylight

I do Have a minor in Photography and Filmaking from one of the best ranked art schools in the US. :-$ O:)

I would use My 1987 Fisher Price tyco pixel camera in college. Even it looked better than this.

I will try harder. I have to remember not everyone likes crap like I do.
