Haha yeah. I think its rad. I'd like to bomb past some $$$ carbon bikes on junk that I tied and glued together. Smile

Seriously considering buying A kit. $200 for the frame. $340 for the jig, or rent/built it yourself.

Thanks Zach! Yes, bars are original, chromoly. This bike was original down to the tires when I found it. I've upgraded the derailleur and thumb shifter to Deerhead units. Also sealed BB, new Tange headset, BMX levers, leather seat, single front chain ring, Vans grips, Maxxis tires, Sram chain, MTB pedals, paint/cc; etc. The head badge and decals are from the 70s style Sierra's.
Even though this is one of the first years Schwinns were not made in USA, it was still quality cro-mo steel frame/fork, and well built. They just used some low end parts for the most part. Its a solid hardtail MTB now! I love it.
