How do you know the date of an oldschool bike? I just picked up a sweet old cruiser and cannot find any information on it at all.

Here are the only pics I have at the moment:

Schwinn had lots of different models and styles (not unlike VW's) so narrowing it down to 2-3 years is pretty easy. Then the serial number will tell you the exact date of manufacture.

I don't know what that bike is. It has the Schwinn cantilever style frame so it was probably built after the patent Schwinn had on that style ran out (1980's).

My niece Kindle was last season's 9 Girls State Champion and remains unbeaten thus far this season.
Great to see kids having good fun racing.

Awesome! Awesome! I remember having a basic bicycle, and then after a race, my father purchased me one of those aluminum frames with a set of handle bars. Probably 1984 1985. This site has so much cool stuff! I remember this person at the track had a purple 4 lug bug that they would drive on the track. I guess to help grade it!

I got to ride a yeti plus size carbon super bike yesterday. It was soooooo sweet.

Dreamy....but I could never responsonsibily spend $10k on a bicycle. ](*,) I'm excited for the 2nd hand mountain bike market in the next few years. I don't think bikes are going to get much better than they currently are.
