Today is the first of July. I met my goal 100% and then some. I did a ton of work on this rig...twice what I thought it would take. Here is a list of the work accomplished in the 30 days:

- good cleaning to remove all of the farm dust, and barn residents.
- Mavel oil'd the shit out of the engine
- cleaned the entire fuel system
- rebuilt carburetor
- new coolant hoses
- new battery
- blasted, straitened, and painted 5 wheels
- installed new tires from Coker.
- blasted and painted drums
- rebushed the brake master shaft
- replace as necessary and packed wheel bearings
- cleaned/lubed brake shoes/mechs.
- adjusted brakes
- greesed chassis
- changed all fluids
- flushed radiator/engine
- blasted, painted, and installed new manifolds with new gaskets.
- faux patina on doors as per Rusty's request
- reinstalled floor, seat, bed sides, and tailgate

That took me a minute to think through! In one months time I took this truck from barn find, to road worthy....while working a full time job too. My part of the deal is done, and I'm ready to give the truck back to the 82 year old man that owns it. I hope he can see and appreciate all that I did. Its a really neat old machine...the oldest car that I've ever driven. I'm excited to give it back.

Awesome work! More than that, very selfless of you! I can't bring myself to change my WIFE'S tire, let alone all you did for a 'stranger'(?).

Good on you buddy, I'm gonna go work on my wife's car tomorrow!

carpe diem, one day, one life, no more.

All done and delivered. I took ol' Bill out for a cruise last night on some farm roads. He was blown away...Tried to write me a check several times =; I could not accept....But he did give me some more model A parts.

It was super-weird to pull the truck back into the exact parking spot that I pulled it out of. Hopefully Bill and his family keep it in good working order.

It looks perfect sitting there, right at home. Good Karma move not taking the check, sometimes its good to do something just because it makes an old guy feel good Smile
