Thank you for the vote! If elected our party promises to clean up the streets, reopen the registry, get rid of the speed limit and reopen school machine shop classes!!! :)

Trying to get her back on her feet. The Empi disc brake kit is often talked down about but I always have good luck with them. They need a little 'tweaking' for the caliper but they work good. Also, I see KCW used them on the Ghia vert build! (The discs are WAAaaay heavy though!).

(Sorry for the mess, I like to spread my parts all over the floor!).

The wheelwell, I'm happy how the longis turned out. Also have to clean up the sanding dust from everywhere! OOps.
Image

Rebuilt tranny! (I'll delete my little rant on 356 Transmissions).

Image

Konis! I'll be using Franz's tech article to do the rear axles (all VW parts btw, but the 356 guys pay triple for '356' parts, tee hee).

Took today and yesterday off to find and bring this home; 12 hours of driving!! It was in the field for over 25+ years, but it's in really good shape. We needed 1 tractor, 1 bobcat and 3 dudes to load it up. After I got it home, pulled the rear drums (on trailer) and rolled it off by myself :)

I'm a little embarrassed to post this update, so I'll soften the blow with a Distler!

And the reason why! 4x4 Status right now :(

But at least it's on it's wheels!

Have to wait for new carriers so I can lower the front.

Nice bus. I would be tempted to slap original style wheels on it, and call it done...That version is going to be the most sellable....assuming that you're still planning to sell it.

Question on the Rear Koni Classic Shocks. Will they ride better on my 54 Sedan? Will they even fit? Looks sharp!!!

Thanks! I could leave it stock height, but I am also building it for me. If it doesn't sell, I won't be toooo sad to keep it. Plus I want to drive it this summer!!

That's why I love this hobby so much, I get to 'own' all the cars I never could, even if it's only temporary. This is my car and I've poured my heart and all of my effort into the last 3-4 months (I've owned it since last October). Pictures of todays work coming up! (I lowered it and put the disc calipers on).

Thanks JJ! Means alot to me :)

I hope to have it running/driving by this weekend if I can get some time off. There's a local show FULL of haters that I would love to attend. Of course they could pick nits till the cows come how but the SMILE on my face wouldn't go away.

But it won't be happening in my 356 engine though :) It's mandatory for all 356's to come with a dis assembled engine, here's my take on it.

Satin black!

Image

Missing a few parts (I put it in so I could see how much lower the back has to go).
