Painted it! But after spraying the last coat, I quickly cleaned the gun and RAN for fresh air :)

Pics tomorrow!

As promised! It's Glasurit 22 single stage, 2 coats, sprayed with a Sata gun. I'm not a painter and this is my 3rd complete paint job. Yes, I painted the tires, but they are going to be gone very soon :)

It turned out really nice and it makes me happy to see that little 356 smile!! Time to polish the jewelry and put'er back on the road.

Pretty! Whats up with the small bolt pattern on the wheels? T-6 brakes?

Thank you sir! My wife says it looks the SAME as before!! Waaah. I come here for validation :)

The brakes on the front are 4 bolt beetle (disc), rear is 4 bolt Type 3. All 356's are 5 bolt, just the late (C's with discs) have Porsche pattern 5 bolt.

I have finned drums and a wide 5 disc brake set up to swap over though. Check out the tiny beetle drum brakes on it's side in comparison.

Thanks guys, means alot to me really! :) I think work always leads to progress but sometimes there's setbacks (especially when this isn't your full time job!). But these little atta boys really help power through the messes!

It looks good now but I did have to redo some stuff. I put some 2K on it and wiped it with wax/grease remover and it literally WIPED off. Sad!! Spent a whole day DA'ing it off and re applying!

Then I did spray the passenger side with top coat but for some reason it just wouldn't lay out. Day or 2 wasted! So, there have been some big frustrations along the way but I'm glad it's all layed out now!! It doesn't seem like it, but I have been working almost 12 hour days on this thing.

I have soo much respect for the work that KCW does and how easy they make it look! Plus, I have alot of respect for anyone that does this type of work for their car! I don't care what the final results are, just realizing how much sweat equity some people have in their cars just make me realize how crazy we really are for this hobby :)

I've seen lacquer do that, but not 2k. That sucks.

The shop was a wee bit cold. It was about 5 deg celcius and I sprayed the 2K. I guess it didn't 'link' or kick even though it looked fine. The remover did it's job :) Live and learn! For the paint I had it at max (20 deg) + a space heater... just in case!

Glenn; Thank you! She does look sweet, growing on me put I will have to put her out :(

Today is wheel day!! Finally time to ditch those 4 bolts I hope!
