I must admitt, a flipfront split would be cool, but too much work for now as it is already..

this weekend I went to the northern part of the netherlands to do some metalfab at my friends metalshop.

he owns this 55 panel he is working on.
Image

we discussed beams, and started redesigning the airbeam we built 4 years ago. more on that later this month

When we stripped the gold beam to measure the beam inside diameter we found out the bugpack urethane bushing really fitted sloppy on the trailing arm. anyone experience on that?

we also talked about the red9 beam he had laying around, but that plan was skipped very fast. Too wide, and cannot go low enough.

Image

time for some metalshaping for the ribs of the side of the truck.

Image

today picked up some more metal and completed most part of the bed.

more to come later this week..

The Bugpack bushings fit sloppy in the bus beams with the original tube metal. They fit much tighter in a new construction beam with the 2" SCH 40 pipe.

The beam is not my problem, they fit nice in the 2inch tube. . Its the arms that have play in the bushings. I think that the goldbeam has bugpack bushings as it has bp xxxxxxx

Made the ribs for the sides today

they are made up of 2 bended tubes.

first made a wooden template, put the 2 tubes against it, and welded it..
