No physical progress lately but I did lay out the rear disc brake caliper mounts to hold the Wilwood rear hand brake calipers. They are radial mount which makes it a little harder

Yes Franz.
Micro stubs like my POS 1963. Same brakes.

I painted the beam tonight but didn't take any pictures.

Not much specific rhythm to what I wrote but it did express an emotion and idea #-o

A customer came in the other night looking for our rubber mounted mid-mount kit like Piggy put onto his convertible. He saw it on the KCW site

He also wanted more info on the Wilwood brakes and spindle package that he saw on the site also.

He ended up buying the spindles I had built for the 57 ](*,) ](*,)
Along with a complete front and rear disc brake kit cross drilled and zinc plated!

The 57 can wait, it's nice to have sales Smile Smile

Using center drilled lug bolts to mark the dimple locations. First I set the offset of the upper and lower arms before tightening the lug bolts

I learned something new today. This is brilliant.

Awesome!!

Summary of January:

GOAL:
Upcoming plans for the 57....
Build a set of drop spindles
Narrowed beam, Wilwood disc brakes
front rims and tires

ACTUAL:
Built a shop heater
Built a storage system and 3 bags for my pool table leaves
Built a slide out hinged hidden DVD support system for the flat screen
Wrote my name in the sand in Glamis

Built and sold a set of Wilwood style drop spindles thanks to the KCW site
Built another set of drop spindles
Determined desired beam width, (pulled the beam from existing stock) narrowed a set of torsion bars and prepped and painted the beam and arms
Converted rear 944 rotors to Chevy pattern
Sent rotors for cross drill and zinc plate
My vote is for Matthew's 65 bus

The beam is in the car but I didn't get my rotors back from zinc plating yet.
Hopefully tomorrow

Got the rotors back.
Installed bearings and checked the fit of the caliper to rotor alignment.
Got the spindles on.
Pressed in wheel studs.
Got the rotors on.

I don't have a set of calipers right now since I sold them. I don't have the steering box or tie rods on it yet but I had to see how it looked on front wheels. Smile
