Great progress. I love old Triumphs. I should have kept the spitfire I had years ago.....

A very delayed update on my build, looking for work and starting a university course meant everything else ground to a halt for a while. Finally got out to the garage today and made some progress.

Body is off the chassis and I've just got the rear suspension and brake pipes to remove before the chassis paint can be stripped.

I've been able to look at the underneath of the body and found what I thought was underseal is actually a layer of fibreglass. I don't know if someone added it because it would help protect the body or to hide rust but the result is trapped moisture and a lot of rusty metal.

This is what I've found so far as a I strip off the fibreglass, starting to worry that their won't be much body left by the time I finish.

At least the chassis looks solid.
