Not sure what happened but I'm going to start over! Who makes the best 2000cc engine?

OH WTF?!! So sorry, man. What happened?

Isn't Raby the best 2litre guy? Crazy pricing though

DOGO,
I'm not sure what happened, all the evidence was burnt up. I suspect my carburetor start leaking because it was completely melted. I'm going back-and-forth about the new engine. The thought of having a reliable engine really intrigues me but I do want to stay all Volkswagen. I have been looking for a good subi swap kit to see if it's cost effective. The biggest hurdle for me would be the wiring.

I'd forget about that type4. They are expensive and not impressive. I would guess that you could do the whole subi swap for less than the price of a new type IV with core cost.

Type 1 conversion would be sweet too. Brazil and Mexico had conversion tins to make a type 1 fit a type 4 engine bay.

Do you have a picture of the engine bay before it burned?

Wiring isn't too bad, I'll help you with that if you go that route. Shoot me a pm if you want to talk about it.

The resurrection has begun!
Sand blasted/sanded burn area. Sand blasting engine bay. Hopefully my body man can do his magic! I'm taking advantage of the situation and will paint the engine bay and suspension myself. Going to make it better than before. I hope to sneak in a wagons west lowering kit if I play my monies right! Just don't tell the old lady! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

Nice score! Does the whole interior reek of smoke? I can just imagine years down the road still having that smell creep out. Good luck with the rebuild!
