New section: baywindow central

Postby Franz » Fri Dec 17, 2010 6:35 am

I thought I would start a new section for all of the bay pride going on around here lately. Lets keep the other sections clean. Everybody knows that baywindows are lame. Smile

Post all of your baywindow projects, classifiedes, suspension questions, etc, etc,.... pretty much anything related to bays in this section.

I love it. The prices of splits have finally drove people to bays. Great for current bay owners I guess. Hopefully, some day, I can afford a split now!

You might as well just retool the KCW shop to do fat chicks! Man.. i was actually dreading the day that baywindows were actually going to become popular with vintage VW people... and sadly... that day has come!

popular bays

Postby hubcap » Sat Dec 18, 2010 8:26 am

Bays have been big news in the UK for the past couple of years, and as a lot of the posted ones are showing, we have some really nice ones!

Mainly it was traders bringing them in because they were cheeper and more easy to get. Uk split bus prices have been crazy and you were getting less and less for your money.

I have had a few real nice ones over the past 5 years from a 1 owner 67 westie to areal rough 72 postmans panel from OZ.

Best part has been, virtually no welding!

I got a funny message from Rusty yesterday about bays..

I don't want to see things get all bay crazy.. and I do not want to start restoring them... but.. I have seen alot of cool bays the last week or so.. I especially like the full on campers..
