Nah, the splines in the spring plate are tapered so the torsion can't come out

Originally I used beetle axles but they were a little short and didn't work out. Tried to get some made from Sway A Way but it was a big cluster fuck and they kept giving me the run around. I shortened a set myself and it's good to go now. Next up is to take some of the rake out

Gas burners with powdercoated caps and lugs...

Sounds good. I'm trying to track down a swing axle tranny and torsion housing. Planning on going the same route kevin did with the minivan, but with a few more mods...
