Funny thing was I tried to join on here a few months ago and couldn't get approved. Just signed on this week.
Still got a ways to go. I have some niggly stuff to sort out. Like my my fusebox seems to have been reproduced backwards. Pretty sure my rebuilt steering box is screwed, needs some paint touch ups.... the never ending list.

So even with my sway away adjuster the back of this beetle sat too high. Time to adjust.

Better but I still need to mess with it. Image

Few issues. Like the valve cover bail hits the body.

Progress on the electrical.

Decided to do a deep sump install with the engine in the car. What a debacle. Image

My first foray with dual carbs... Again fun! Image

I never trimmed the cylinder tins for the manifolds... so to remedy my error...

Looking great. A Turkis bug is at the top of my bucket list.

What's the story behind that 323? Doing a resto on that as well?

I had an Euro '80 back in the day! Such a super fun car......
What do you do with 365 used rubbers? Make a tire and call it a Good Year.

Good catch alp!
The 323i is a long story. Its a RHD model that came with a dogleg box. When it was found in a wrecker it had no engine(just manifolds and the dogleg held up by a 2x4). Have a love hate relationship with it. Would love to sell it and pay off some bills and finish this thing.
