Went down a couple Sunday's ago and had a killer night on the vert, can't believe how much the rear half of this shell needed after a good sandblasting!!!

It's fun building patch panels and getting this thing stronger and more solid every day, it's really looking top notch, just about time to sit it on the pan and fit everything up for the front clip to be installed,

Dug out some badass bias whites and a okrasa kit, thinking the car is gonna be a total stocker with a few small accessories!!!

None of us three are gonna wanna see this baby go away!!!

Swapping in Yakima we scored a pair of engine bay shelves for this rig along with a semaphore switch that were missing. No church tonight....full pull weekend of heavy boozing and 7 hour ride home in the back of a camper has a guy little spent :-" more metalwork this week =D>

Still plugging away on this one consistently ](*,)

This panel was a whore to make right! Damn mice! After this pic I was able to contour the flange arc better)

Finishing off cable conduits.

Pat hooked us up with some engine bay shelves that weren't Swiss chez, got one re and re'd lastnight.

Image

Initially we were trying to patch the rear luggage area with another fucked up section I got from a 54 Canadian custom at the gcvws but it just wasn't gonna be up to par with a 360 butt weld on such a big panel....just dragged home another 55 sedan body to murder and steal this section whole (well half) ..... in case anybody is wondering the stamping back there is pre 55 specific inconveniently enough ](*,)

Image

Cutting the rest out gave me access to metal finish the backside of the rear body mount areas that we fixed but couldn't reach before.

Image

Need to order some Mica crossmember panels and chassis stiffeners from gerson soon but funds ain't there yet.....might be putting the 55 single cab up on the chopping block to free up some $$$

Kickin ass daily....pan is all buttoned up with all new control cable conduits.

So much time has been sunk into making sheetmetal solid in ass end, rear apron got put on for last time last night.

This was fun....taking a flat part of luggage shelf stamping and making it curve without fucking up the ribs!

I heard rumour that the pan got prepped and a squirt of primer to seal it up today =D>

Good work guys. I haven't seen too many bottoms of pans opened up like that...looks super clean now. I'm suspecting a lot of shrinking disc action on the rear apron to get it looking so good.

\:D/ good job on the apron/fender alignment also \:D/ It's the details that make the difference, definitely on the right track

That apron is from Brian waz in Vancouver....it was ummmm better? Than what came on the car but ya needed a lot of love including one inner. The misery disk was used a bit but the fenders need some yet so will probably get carried away....this thing is gonna be solid =D> Metalwork \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

That thing has already made one hell of a transformation. You should be proud.

Looking good fellas. What is the paint plan? This is more like a full resto now.
