Pete's '52 Crotch GermanLooker

Postby petevw » Wed Jul 03, 2013 1:09 pm

Hey,

I started working on my '52 again as the bus is 90% done. The splitty bug was put on the backburner a few times over the years as other cars and some life events took priority. Plus the part hunting(bud-get killer) and figuring out has taken forever. Have had it for about 10yrs now. So the pics below are some back to the future shots and hopefully this thread will wrap up as this is close to hitting the streets.

Plan is for a German looker. Carbon fiber, Porsche bits, and HP.

Early pics of the body on the gyro, and final primer with its carbon fiber fenders.

Pete, show some pics of where it's at NOW! Those pics don't do the project justice! [-X Smile

Why buy when you can build?
I've spent hours on parts that you can buy for pennies.

a full paint job?

Yes, it's getting a 5th gear. Berg5 in a Autocraft case with LSD.

Interior will be race inspired. Race seats and carbon fiber.

Wheels are BBS/Porsche. Have collected a few and haven't nailed down a final decision. Most likely BBS LM's and BBS e26's(need to be refinished).

Base-clear.

Nope, these pics are from '04.

Body is on pan, it's been a long road getting $$$ together and collecting parts to finish.
