Thanks guys!

The talk about 16" staggered Fuchs in Juan's DD Panel got me thinking. I want a little meatier tire in the rear. Never been a real fan but the big lip looks killer. Running a 195/60 at the moment and think I am going to move into a 205... thoughts? That and a rack for the roof, time to put it to work and start hauling bikes to the trails.

Nothing to crazy to update....been driving this bus almost everyday since got it on the road. Calgary is rad, go West and its mountains, East and the prairies....my mood was something chill last night.
Nothing like cruising the back hiways on a warm night in the bus you built yourself and friends. Its noisy, it makes weird noises and handles like a noodle on the rough stuff but I like it. The pace it offers is just right,...definitely something you can only explain when your driving a bus. Three years back into an air cooled.

The bus is rolling and getting some hard earned miles put on it. I had blown up the 2180 this spring and busted my ass to get it finished up.

Took it camping this past week. Glad I built the engine I did, the hills down in southern Alberta are relentless on these old cars and not to mention we gotta have some of the worst drivers around. 65mph non stop.

Just a quick post.

Putting on the miles and using it! 400km mountain bike over last couple days. Had to pull over and let it cool today, 100kmh, nasty headwinds and relentless climbs...not bad. I may need an oil cooler for these 30deg/86F days. Doesn't get much better than this.

Bit of a hyatus, new job, new city, crazy last year.
Time to give this bus some love. Been driving it a lot and pulled some good long drives this summer.

Driver side rocker was always a shit job, rushed it just to finish when I was building it. Blasted through the paint, knocked down the high welds and started over. Had Endura locally here mix up a match in their 2K spraymax cans. this stuff is killer, really easy to work with and the blend worked out awesome. Going to wetsand the dry edge shortly once all hardened up.

Color is spot-on in the sun and better than I hoped for a blend-in. Trying my best to preserve the paint best I can.

Working a few more spots. Going to two tone my incorrect pressed bumpers. More to follow, time to get back at it.

So, some gypsy put his bumper into my bus over the summer.

Managed to push it out with help of a football and a little massaging. Pissed, this nose was great shape and all OG paint. Any suggestions to tune it up?

Probably have all sorts of snow and cold soon so I have lots of winter ahead of me. Is it crazy to pull the floor, and inner structure to get down low on the nose skin and dolly it out?
