Gracias senior, that's a great pic. Too bad I didn't get the safari's wrapped up in time to have them open.

I'm going to email the previous owner an update this week. I'm sure he'll be thrilled.

Just got to my apartment in Hermosillo. It sucks that I won't be driving the bus until I get back for the Durham show weekend in 7weeks time. I managed to clock 550kms on it last week. I figure it to be closer to 400kms spinning those short front tires.

I have smacked that steering box HARD many times in just the past couple days. Needs a box raise ASAP!

Reference the pic above.

I'm getting some resistance to raising this box.

I want to do it, because I'm smacking the box HARD at speed everywhere. I am careful, but some of these roads are crap.

Your thoughts?

Wook, did you get the wrong thread bro? Or are you just tired of the Canadian drama?

I would'nt think twice about raising that steering box...A competent faBROcater, a Saturday afternoon, and a case of beer is all it taks.

Personally I'd leave it, your bus is damn cherry, a rare find in these parts. Raising the front an inch or so would make all the difference in the world and level the bus out. Do what you want, it's your rig! There are a few guys around that would likely be glad to help :)

Cheers,

Alex
Why buy when you can build?
I've spent hours on parts that you can buy for pennies.

Yeah Creig, lets do it!

You guys are acting like its a 1 of 1 factory prototype or something....Its just a late model with windows on the roof. Smile

Yeah, do a 1 1/4" raise. So that you don't have to fuck the floor up, like all of those mini-trucker-turned-vw-guys do.

Hey Franz,

KCW is mentioned in this ad: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/ ... ?id=746301

What's the deal with these sliders?

Everyone is busy, so this may be a temporary solution until this can get chopped?

Canadian Drama? I've never heard of anything like that.
