If the appraiser comes back with a whacked out number tell him to take off, and I'll have my guy come up from Niagara Falls. He did my bus when it was at Gold Star Seat Cover and I wasn't even around. No interior in, engine only partially complete, no glass, etc still came in at $30K. Lots of guys ask "How much do you have into it?" or "What do you want it appraised at?". My guy actually knows his shit.

You couldn't get a floor jack or 2 under it and get it up the driveway that way? What about those dollies for under the tires? Even sitting on the tires, with your big CC motor you could likely drag it in. Tires would just rub the tubs. Just sayin'..

At least you can lock the doors on your bus.....
Greg

If you can't run with the big dogs....

Stay on the porch.

Hey Pete, what size front tires you running?

Perhaps with some well placed wood you could get that bus high enough to not rub and get it back in the garage?

Thanks again to Lanner for getting me out of trouble. He is truly an awesome person and a great resource for the local GTA crew.

Thanks to Greg too. I probably drive him nuts with my part orders, and late night runs to his house.

Here's the plan:

Reassemble front end, and deliver appraisal to insurance company in Oshawa tonight.

Tomorrow at 6pm I pick up mechanic dude at his shop and bring him to my house to safety/certify it.

Alignment/oil breather lines Friday?

Cruise Saturday.

It's not much different now. All back together but rubs like crazy on the doglegs driving straight with me in it. Beam is adjusted all the way up, but it has 4inch dropped spindles.

So, do I take it apart front again and die grind the slots in the adjuster/beam to get the adjuster to move 1 more tooth? Or buy tires - Remove smart car 175's and go with smartcar 145/65?

elongate the slots 1/8" and it should be okay. It won't take much to translate to a lot at the wheel.

Good luck!

Thanks Sandor.

Andrew picked up those 145's. Giving him my wheels tonight to swap tires tomorrow. We'll see how she fits.

The bus passed inspection, and insurance was setup this afternoon.

Register fully, and plate sticker tomorrow. Smile
