Well I'm always working on it in the evenings and really late night. In my hood, during those times, there is no sun.

Tonight installed rear axle cotter pins, carb air cleaners, finished dash wiring, parcel tray back in, speedo cable, front dust caps, kick panels, rear hatch hinge covers, rear and dr side mirrors, brake light switch, new sunvisors, and spray bombed all bumper brackets.

Franz, i did drive it out of the garage and up/down the driveway, does that count? Smile

Today I plan to do safari's, seats, mats, and new shifter.

It's coming together!

Thanks, Alex. That was the plan, drive it around the block on my birthday. \:D/

Off to the driver licensing office to renew the vehicle plates.

Going to sleep. Safari brackets getting some paint. I'm thinking of JB Weldin those brackets to the body.

That kid has got to think you're the cooooolest uncle! As Sammy Miller, Britain's most accomplished motorcycle rider once said, "if you don't fall down once in a while you're not trying hard enough"

Bus is looking great! Perfect weather to be out working on it! I'm envious you can move yours to the driveway lol, mine will be on jackstands for a little while yet.

keep up the good work!

Went by Pete's today, he was getting his appraisal done. Bus looked amazing, good job Pete! Keep hustling!

Image

And then we all climbed into the bus and heard a bam! Front of the bus slammed down onto the tires. Another cb beam failure...

Center blocks gotta come out...

Sorry to hear of the CB beam failure. I don't have a good feeling about mine either even though Lanner fixed it up. Will likely get him to build me a 3" narrowed beam this winter. With a 4" now I'm rubbing on the inner part of the wheel tubs.

Pete's bus is all OG paint except around the windows where he did some touch up when they were out. It's such an awesome bus!!

It's bullshit. 2 of these beams same issue. It must be happening to others too. Design flaw?

So the bus is out on the street, body on tires, the front safari hardware not finished so it doesn't latch(CE missed threading some holes, so it all has to come apart to redo), and it will thunderstorm any moment now for the next 24hrs.

I just tossed the fabric car cover on.

I expect it to turn into a swimming pool, and judging by other comments in the thread, I can kiss the retrosound radio goodbye.

We'll see what the appraisal comes in at. He was very stubborn in believing the busses worth. He said 12-15k. I told him to go and research it.

Hopefully Lanner can fix the beam issue while I'm at work this week. So with this fix, and his previous center pin issues on this new beam, I'm pretty deep into this CB beam. It sucks.

End of rant.

Pete
