Toby's 1958 (canadian build)

Postby Toby » Sat Mar 15, 2008 11:17 am

This thread is to follow the slow process on my 1958 euro bug. So far i have basically just stripped it down and did some slight engine work to get it running. It has a 1600cc dual port on a split case transmission. Anyways as i tore into it and tore the carpet up i found some holes underneath it. Nothing major, and the battery tray has a hole. So anyways i will let the pictures do the talking, if you have any questions let me know. These are old pictures i will take some updated this weekend sometime.

Ya i've been to Chatham...just outside London. Not too far at all!

We'll have to meet up somewhere before we roll in, so we can represent!

We'll roll in low...and deep!

Ps what kinda tires you rolling? White walls or Porta walls?

Yeah sounds good, i will most likely be rolling up by myself, my uncle is not going. I am not sure if my cousin is or not though. I lowered my ass end an inner click to how it use to be. It looks MUCHHHHh better.

Hopefully i can make the deadline of the weekend.

...ok mister you are starting to upset me...I just dropped off my semiphores yesterday to get fixed up right...and you got pics of yours lighting up like a Christmas tree!

LOL...I guess it's just making me actually get off my ass and work. You are now Josh and Mikes new best friend.

I was actually thinking of putting mine on a switch so I could shut the power off to them when I didn't want them popping up.

I am an idiot and can't get used to the fact that the indicators don't shut themselves off. I drove for like two miles last summer with my left turn signal on, before I realized I forgot it on. Those semiphores would be good and fried by then...lol.

If you have a ragtop clip you are grafting in in the next week i'm heading out to the garage with a case of red bull and call into work sick every day.
