i installed my running boards yesterday, and cruised the fuck out of the car haha. enjoing it this year, thats the plan!

its been SHIT weather here...
rolled the beetle to my shop, took beam out, started disassembling it all for paint. installing my dropped spindles. Hopefully together for the "retro fest" here in town.

well, drivers side spindle wont come apart, broke a vice and stopped a press... Ordered new parts and now waiting. as im waiting im going to clean the metal for paint so when my parts arrive i can just throw them together paint it all and throw it in!

assembled, and painted, and ready for install! going to install the beam today and hopefully take it for a cruise either tonight or tomorrow if i can get it all together!

i installed dropped spindles and hope to eliminate some rubbage (as i believe i read this one time), it did not work and made things worse ](*,) that is what i do at thought of this car

what size tires are you running up front? I might have a lead on some 135R15 tires.

If you install dropped spindles and raise the torsion adjustment so that you are at the same ride height as before. You should have less rubbing problems. As the torsion arms rotate, the spindle moves up and towards the front of the car...causing headlight bucket rubbbing. The spindles will allow you to keep the smae ride height with less negitive torsion arm angle.

I am changing the look up of the car for next season, no pics till im done. Plus i built up my mkiv jetta in the mean time

thanks here are the specs thus far
- vmaxx coils
-HID headlights
- 18x8.5 snowflakes
-shaved fender markers
-notch filled on hood

Plus misc doodads to keep it oem ++

I need some spacers and ill be set. I plan on turboing the 2l next year
