Gah, what a awful night.

Everything started out great:
got my freshly painted stock muffler in
it appeared as though my repaired exhaust stud was holding

Put the car on on the ground, started out of the car workspace....DING...I freakin tapped the driver side front fender on one of the posts in the storage
](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)
Minor paint scrapage and a nice dent with it.
:-#
So yeah, starting out perfect
Head down to a local GTG....car seems ok, cruising along at 55mph no prob...no smoke.
Get off the highway near the GTG and I pass a new housing development...and they left a HUGE road cut unmarked....by the time I saw it...TOO LATE #-o
BANG!
Either the beam or the frame head hit the ground something fierce.
And from that moment on...th car refuses to idle.
No idea what happened, but the car will not idle.
Worst part was hitting NASTY traffic due to road construction on the highway on my way home...spent nearly an half hour driving with the e brake so I could declutch and keep the revs up to stop the car from dying.

Oh well, time to give it a once over.
Check compression, swap out my vac advance diszzy for a 009 and start looking for vacuum leaks.
As for the dent, I'll get a paintless dent guy to take it out...and I've got a few minor scrapes to touch up and some paint transfer to remove.
When it rains...
:-({|=

So evidently, the 60 made it into Performance VW Magazine in the their coverage of the summer time Toronto VW show: VAG-Kraft

Anywho, I went up to my storage this weekend to put the roofrack back on it and surfboard...and the vintage Canada Dry Ginger Ale metal cooler I found for it.
Image
...and my buddy Dac hooked me up with a HotVW's sticker for the rear quarter...since I was 14 and reading that magazine, I wanted a Cal-Looker with that sticker in the rear quarter...sadly...no 2L dual weber monster in the back...yet

What size cover do you have to fit over all the accessories, and the car too? :-k

Let me know when you are ready for "More Power"

That motor doesn't sound right. Carbs need to be sync'd?

The bug is looking good. Congrats on the pic in Performance VW!
