I didn't know that. Good to know. I believe that is the first pic that I've seen myself.

'51 Deluxes were basically prototypes, only a handful were built and were mostly used for promotional purpose and sent to dealers to use for display and demo. Basically a unicorn bus today

Jrod has flown the coop, he took his better half to Cuba for a week =D> I decided to make the beam one again lastnight....all built up out to the brakes, lubed up, link pins shimmed, bearings packed! \:D/ it all went together like was built by someone who has a huge amount of pride in work and has built 100000000 beams before :-" franz this thing is a work of art, can't wait to see how it rides! =D> Hey I meant to ask you....what's up with the little TIG welds with centre punch marks on the one tower? Is that a counter kinda like notches in a bedpost? 142'nd beam you've built? :-k

And this donkey forgot phone so no there's no proof :-$ Wink

Sweet!

How'd those Saco brakes go together? I kow some of the older kits took a little finesse to fit. They are a deal considering what you get for $950. Not many other options for a pre 63 disc brake kit anyhow.

They went together like budda! =D> One side the disk has a little egg shape to it and it scrapes a C hair on the brake pad retaining bolt as u rotate. 3 second fix Wink I really like the look of it, I have the exact same calipers on my ragtop. \:D/
