clean-ish 61 vert project needs a new home $1200

I've had this for a minute, collected some parts, and realize that a vert build is not in my immediate future. I have one wire tube front fender, one ribbed rear fender, a 4 tab hood, and top frame. All from different cars. There is no pan or title, and missing the convertible decklid.

The good:
It does have all of the original glass, chrome frames(in decent shape), and mechs. You can't see in the pictures are the quarter windows buried in the trunk along with a 61 only gas tank. I got it from a guy at a swap meet. He was from Arizona and believed the car had been there its entire life. It is amazingly solid in areas that are typically rusted. You can see the luggage tray in the back is not rusted through, and the heater channels are nice. The PO has stared restoration and welded in some repairs, like the support rails, and front/rear clips. The whole front clip is pretty bad. It looks like they grafted repop sides with extentions, to make the front clip 3 pieces. I would look for a good original to clip in.

All things considered, its an early convertible, and warrants the effort and $$$ a build like this takes. 58-64 beetle parts are easy to find, and if you ask nicely I could probably assist you finding a pan/parts to put it together.

A few thrash sessions could make it into something like this.
