Anyone have any input?

You can go to Uship.com and enter the shipping coordinates just like you're going to create a listing for transport services. Before you have to actually post the listing it'll give you a "range", including a median price, of what others have paid for similar shipments. My shipping experience is limited but the quotes I got back were all on the higher side of the median, with some at the very top of the "range."
Meh.

I shipped mine from KC to Grand Junction for about 1000. I did the estimate thing and got a million calls from shippers. It sucked... Didn't stop for over a month. But I can recommend a shipper if your buddy needs one.

I bet getting the Ghia shipped from GJ to SC isn't going to be anywhere near as effortless for me.

Cool stuff... Wonder how long till it's on it's way to colorado.. :-# :-# :-# :-# :-#

Mind reader?? :-#. In 4 years, this stupid rig went from pheonix to grand junction, to San Diego, to Madison and back to GJ. Transport costs have exceeded value.......the shit we do for vws. Funny stuff.

crated and shipped by boat would be the cheapest and take forever to get, it will be ridicules on shipping that back to you.
best of luck with it, they look clean anyways.

I have a shipper heading out to pick up my Ghia early next week in Grand Junction. He has some hauls along the way but I believe he'll have an empty trailer from western Kentucky to Grand Junction. Open transport single-car trailer, licensed and insured professional. If anyone has something they need moved east-to-west around that area let me know and I'll PM the contact info.
Meh.

I think I saw on Instagram that Gerson is shipping his BD back from Europe.
If that has not yet happened maybe you could stow your seats inside his bus?
Or work with someone else that is shipping a car from Europe to USA?

Kcw crew: Truck is stopping at the shop on Saturday. They have the shop's phone number. Hopefully someone will be around to help the driver. Leaving Madison today direct shot to GJ.
