So here's what I did if it helps at all.

Front:
-Raceland coilovers
-Travel extending deep upper strut mounts (as seen in the photo) The coilovers wouldn't go low enough and still have any available travel.
-15x6 et52.3 Phonedials with 165-45-15
-C-Notched the unibody for the axles. I think I only had to do one side though...
-1" thick 4x100 to 5x130 wheel spacer/adapters

Rear:
-Axle flipped above the leaf springs
-Rear leaf spring shackles shortened (this got the rear a bit lower)
-Stock shocks still worked if I remember correctly.
-1" thick 4x100 to 5x130 wheel spacer/adapters
-15x7 et52.3 Phonedials with 165-50-15

I did not flip the tie rods or extend the lower ball joints. It would be proper to do so, and the bump steer was crazy, but the raceland front springs were stiff enough to limit travel enough where I never noticed any ill effects while driving.

Detailed Fuchs on a mk1 is a great look, but hey, I'm biased.

Going to REALLY enjoy this project.

Nice! I've owned a couple of these, one a diesel and the other a gas engine....both east coast rust buckets. The last one I had, I ran home built coilovers in the front and 3" drop plates in the rear. Not super slammed, but rode well. Wish I could find a rust free one to drive again. Lookin' forward to see whatcha do with this one!

I wanna try and get the fuch's up under it.. 15's ... yeah.... 15s.... with some small ass tires too.. =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~

Shop Truck Donation = I have a set of 4 15x7 porsche phone dials. Mint, polished with caps. Pay shipping and they are yours if you want them, John. They might look nice on the truck. Let me know.

Matt sold his truck WAAAY too cheap. By the time I saw it was up for sale, it had already been sold. I really would have liked to have it. ](*,) Been looking for one ever since where the price was in line with the vehicle. Nothing out there even seems close.
911 operator: What is your emergency ? Me: Some asshole just pulled out in front of me & totaled my car! 911: Are you injured? Me: No. 911: Is the other driver injured ? Me: Not yet....but you should probably send an ambulance.

I suck at loading pics! If it works an idea of how it could sit.lots of these over here.Ditch the stupid rear brake hose set up and put a brake valve in.Ive heard of people using golf/rabbit struts on a super beetle.so maybe use some super beetle coilovers? Probably easier to get over there. \:D/
