What do you do with 365 used rubbers? Make a tire and call it a Good Year.

Franz wrote:I kept it pretty chill this weekend. Buried my head under the dash and wired everything. Got rid of the dumb 66-67 headlight dimmer relay & t/s switch, and emergency flasher system. Retrosound radio installed with a face plate extension cable. You can see the head unit next to the heat tube. The unit would not fit behind the dash due to a brace. ](*,) Its kind of nice because it keeps all of the wires and junk down low behind the kick panels. Not so fun to assemble and install.

looks great! beauty bus, cool customization, good work franz, keep it going & you'll be rolling in no time! =D> Smile

Franz, had you ever seen this 21 window that was at SEMA in 2014? Looks like it has LEDs similar to yours, but not nearly as well done or thorough. Image

Yeah my bus restoration is completely back burner. I have no real deadline to be finished by....It will be a driving shell soon, but probably an all summer process to get the interior/accessories built and tuned to my liking.

I have been giving 100% of my focus to customer projects lately. Which is cool. I dig building cars for people. Its nice not having to worry about my extracurricular activities. The weekend is the only time I really work on this bus, and its kind of half-assed. All kinds of distractions, and I like to take it easy. No reason to stress.

Anyways, I'm over the led light strips. Kind of embarrassed that I did that. 8-[ Most of the VW electrical system will be finished today. I spent yesterday riding bikes, and cleaning polishing blasting painting misc light parts.

I got some cool Hella H4 headlights that came with the bus.

For what it's worth, the led stuff it one of the things that makes this ride your own and truely stand out as one of a kind. I'm not usually a fan of the light show stuff on a street vehicle, but in this case I'd call it a job well done. =D> =D> =D> =D>
