Scott, I may have to ask Franz to keep the dyno results secret so you don't increase the HP in your car before the race. [-(

Kidding aside, I doubt I will make it this year, but you never know. I was in Charleston for Easter and if I was not over scheduled, I would have reached out to catch up. You know, scope out the competition. Smile Since we may never be able to race the cars side by side, perhaps we provide time slips instead. Give it some thought. Back to work for me. ](*,)

I noticed that some of the undercoating was chipping off. I thought I would give it a quick touch up.

I start to prep the edges and sand the bare surfaces for the new undercoating, and notice that the original sealer on the pan half has not ever been sanded #-o Which is why the undercoating was falling off. It ripped off pieces in sheets.

Ugh. Unfortunately it looks like the old body shop strikes again. Very disappointing, but it is in the rear view mirror now.

Franz, thank you for finding it and tackling it like you do! =D> =D>

Strip it all down and start over. Body off. Paint both sides.

Hey Franz!
Can you turn the key on for a few seconds, then turn it off and see if the fuel pressure regulator holds pressure?

Ive never ran a fuel gauge before. I assume it should hold pressure cause I know if I cut the line it has pressure.

Maybe Subaru parts could fix it?

it should hold some pressure but it doubtful if it is 30 pounds running it will be 30 pounds with no power to the pump.

Yeah within a few pounds I think would be normal. But not full pressure to zero pressure. Pump or regulator?

not zero but neither a regulator or a pump will hold it to the set pressure.

Haha. My car with all of the extra wires and the Chevy parts is the one having issues. Like John said, "Getting all confused with all of those extra wires! Built tough with Chevy stuff." #-o
