6pm last night. I think I'm almost done with doors. All the felts and scrapers are installed. One door is completely done. I'm installing my last piece of glass on the passenger side. The nicest OG window I could find. Glass goes in just fine. The felts are tight(like most new ones are), I grab a deadblow hammer to smack the tempered glass side to side to compress/loosen the felts. About the sixth blow, the glass explodes into a thousand 1/4" size pieces, and once piece embeds itself into my pinkie finger.

DAMNIT!

I spent an hour cleaing up the mess, then went home.

Luckily the paint on the door was not damaged. Wheeew

Franz, You amaze me with the level of patience you have. Most would flip the suck out , but you just seem to shake it off and keep going forward. I commend you on your effort and thanks for all the lessons you unknowingly teach on the daily. =D> =D> =D> =D>

It's nice to see Franz admit shit happens. It's the reality of building things. Another reason to take a car KCW, honesty. =D>

Franz, I am glad you didn't get hurt, phew. Thank you for locating all of the pieces for the doors and windows. The oval went to the old body shop with them installed so not sure what happened to them. I will ask the owner as I am entitled to get them back even though they won't be needed for this car.

Thank you for paying so much attention to detail. It really separates this oval from others, non-KCW cars of course. =D> =D>

The only parts your doors had were the regulators and mech, and handles. Missing glass divider bars, vent wing, pivot, felt channels, and arm rest adaptors.

You had two drivers side door handles. I found a super nice OG chrome passenger (non-keyed) door handle and polished it to perfection.

New mechs, new hardware, pads, and anti-rattle plugs.

New window regulators

Re-keyed door handle to match the ignition.

Question for Franz: Would you have built the body to this stage pre lift?
