I've been looking for a decent base truck since you posted this!!! I'd like to do a LS engine swap, complete engine with harness $1,000..fuck that's cheap compared to Vw parts.

You're a Chevy guy Andy! This frame swap business is the way to go... Start measuring wheel bases. there's probably a Cadillac out there with an LS you could toss a C-10 body onto. Find a long bed and chop the bed down to a short bed, and MAKE it fit the wheel base of the donor car.

I've never cared for brake lights that blink. Made this thing European style because I'm sooo refined.... Tossed a red LED behind the reverse light lens and rewired.

Don't get me wrong Franz, you have built some badass vehicles. I have allegiance to the Mopar stuff from the Big 3. Something about a real Hemi. I just love ripping on the Ford guys, but I will always be a diehard VW guy, I just need to find the funds for another one.

Man I think about this swap daily... My only Negibor down the road has a wrecked crow vic, passengers side rear.. Really would rather do a Chevy, or atleast a Chevy into a ford.

Na, just the ls into a ford. All 3 together sounds like a cluster. Just 2 of the 3. Ford trucks are way cheaper than Chevys to buy.
$1500 truck, $1000 ls, million hours fitting it..

What year Vic? Was it a police package car? If you don't buy it, I would.... if it's for sale?

I need to sneak down to Turlock so you can check it out. This week I'll be doing some tune up junk to it. Try to make it run smoother. Kinda rough idle at the moment. Still loving it though!

Yeah.. can't see the full video unless you pay a subscription to HRG. It'll be free on YouTube in a week or so.

Here's what the 4.6 looks like under the F100 hood.

Police package external oil cooler lines were leaking. Ford wants $150 for new lines. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) I fixed the leak with 8 new O-rings which Ford doesn't sell. =; Less than $5 fixed the issue. The lines are way over built, almost like hydraulic lines, so the chance of the hoses themselves going bad are slim. Upper left in the pic.
