Yeah, Deputy Steve knows all the VW guys in Durango! Smile The Baja doesn't have to run in order to pass the certified been inspection but it does need to be a complete car with functional lights, horn, rear view mirror, windshield etc.... Jumping through Government hoops sucks!!! ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) I'll be patient! O:) O:) Smile

$300 super beetle with a good title makes the process easier.

Plus, Rusty's wife would love to have another parts car in the backyard. Smile

Don't forget driver seat! He busted me for no seats once and then laughed at me when I cut my hands on the bare metal frame throwing one in place. Oh, and he won't mind if the horn or brake lights work by holding 2 wires together :-$

Got another email last night from the guy who owns my old fiberglass buggy, he drove the buggy around yesterday to try to figure out where the knocking sound was from. He said it clicks on the right-hand valve train, not the block, he thinks it's a loose rocker arm or maybe just needs the valves adjusted :-k :-k :-k

Yeah, I know I don't have any focus! :-$ :-$ Smile

It's a Bandit kit, glitter gold and yes, that is its original interlocking Daisy top! That's what sold it for me when I first saw it at least 15 years ago!
