thanks Zach!
Yeah George I have lines drawn. I held a piece of wire at the spindle nut, kept the same arch as the front cut all the way to the back. Once I get the front end back together I'll trim.

New ball joints and tie rod ends and steering damper going on. At high speeds it's kinda "wonders" I really think it's alignment but want to change all the wear items before it gets aligned.

I just want the new owner to be happy with this set up. :-# :-# :-# :-#

Do work!!! Each night after work a few hours!!

From the pics it looks pretty close to level now(?). Any more than an inch and you'll have to crank the back up some more. I think it looks good, purposeful.

I'm not sure, I think maybe 1" would level it out but that's a shit ton of work for an inch. I'm hoping trimming the fenders a little will open up the wheel well and make it look better.

Just the back portion needs some, so it doesn't have the "lip". At about the 2 o'clock position.

I saw a Subi baja listed today with some suspension mods for $15k, dam!! Maybe I'm too cheap at $6k.. #-o #-o oh well

^^^^^^^ There is often quite a difference between list price and value. I have seen rigs priced high that have lingered for years, while proper priced ones go quickly.

Got the new ball joints in, tie rod ends, on

Going to make new tie rods tonight. Then swap to another steering box that feels pretty tight. Hoping that fixes my steering so it can be my weekend driver.

I got a front end alignment today. Helped a ton. This is my first ball joint car, so I think they just need some drive time to break in. Plus tire size, I've never had huge knobby tires before. Maybe that's a factory.

Either way this is how it's going to be. It runs, drives, stops and functions.

I'm going to clean up the wiring some, make some other changes and drive it until it sells or I trade it for a super beetle.
I'd love to find a really clean super to trade for, no joke!
