nah that is the left overs, I am using the scuttle panel on my car, have repaired the dash now.
brown dash isn't mint, some stupid holes and I think the radio slot has been a little cut, guess these are a little hard to find in the US?

slowly getting there with the front screen, this thing had me shitting my pants at one point, WHAT HAVE I DONE!! etc.

Image

made a completely new lip for the dashboard side, using the new panel as a template cut a 12mm strip and welded it on

Image

welded up these holes

Image

looks like this after much fucking about.

Image

getting there.

Image

stuck the hinges and bonnet back on to have a look tonight.

just need to get the last details matching up and trim the posts down to match and should be able weld it in.

cheers

well well, what have we here.

Image

Image

yes , some very cold looking welds, but I didn't want to blow any holes in this right now.

Image

I had to plug weld the corners as the spot welder couldn't get in behind the corner air vents.

Image

all stitched up.

Image

and smoothed out.

Image

managed to keep the joins looking factory as.

Image

and the bonnet fits much better than the kippered old scuttle.

Image

just need to weld up the folded over thingys and that is the rust and metal work just about fucking done!

So I need to find something else to do huh? One of these finally turned up on TradeMe (NZ's creiglist/ebay) cheap, didn't want to spend to much on something I was just going to chop up.

Image

excellent.

Image

gunna make me a vert lid!

nearly time to learn how to bog and paint 8-[ 8-[ 8-[ 8-[ 8-[

There should be a dash/ pedal/ sterrring box etc. swap program. \:D/

just straight up trade each pay shipping.

for BLokes that want to go to the left and (I am from the south I caint say Yanks) US'ers to go to the right.

fuckin thread jackers! Wink Wink

can't say i've ever felt the need to have LHD down here, but worldwide I guess RHD is pretty rare?

I was going to dress the old dash up on the shed wall, stick a old speedo in etc, but...

Shall we start the bidding at 1000? do I hear 1500! 1500?.....
