Not yet. Debating on, either having a factory set of trailing arms narrowed or going with Mendeola 1" narrow True-Track set up with coil overs. Need to get ahold of them to answer a few questions I have.

It's cool shit for sure. Qa1 some coils and the torsion bar eliminator spring plates are about $1800 cheaper.

Did some searching and came up nuts... who makes the eliminator spring plates?

I'd just buy the 1" narrowed setup from Sam. That's what I'm running on my bug to tuck those widened 16's. Mendeola makes nice stuff, but probably overkill for what your gonna be doing with the car.

Sam Manis, or Slowlow as many know him on Samba and Instagram.

If you check out the photos on his ad, you will see two pics of my car during mockup.

Working on the 2387 case. Have to make it happy in a Type-3. It wasn't originally a universal case.... it is now. Also had some magnesium weld built up for full flow oiling out the side of the case. Plenty of meat there now for a -8 fitting. Also pulled the dipstick tube and Allen plugged the hole.
Not pictured... I picked up a set of raw, big valve Street Eliminator heads that have been shelved since the 80s! They're at machine shop now getting the intake welded up and bigger valve seats put in.... going for 45/38 valves. \:D/

I think I'll stick with torsion bar IRS suspension and send Sam some trailing arms to narrow. My question is.. can he take out some of the factory built in IRS camber? I know we need a little, but stock IRS has too much for my liking. :-k

Not sure. Send him a message and ask. I'm sure he can, but I bet it depends on the adjustability of his jig. Never know until you ask...

How much camber do the stock arms have? I didn't notice too much camber on my car, but it's also not slammed out back and it's got a 215 series tire, so you don't get a ton of that camber look.

Getting closer to the IRS conversion. Trying to to have it done by KP... The good thing is, I don't have to take the car apart until everything is ready to be swapped in because its ALL getting replaced. So if I'm not ready with IRS for KP, I'll roll it as is now with swing axle. Pulled the 3.88 with .082 4th Quaife IRS trans from the bug pan yesterday. Also my 1" narrow trailing arms are on their way back to me. Done by Autowerks Suspension.
