I was shot in the eye with a piece of metal while cutting out the floor of my 64. Im all good (lucky!). Please be safe !

I had my safety glasses on but they were fogging from my face mask. I had moved them over my mask so I could get some air flow which left a very small gap and guess what ?? That little piece shot right through the gap and into my eye, FUCK! It didn't hurt but scared the shit out of me.

The eye doc was able to numb my eyeball and pull the piece out with tweezers. What a trip.

Ill wear goggles from now on....

The floor is out !

Damn dude, must have been a big piece of metal if he used tweezers. Its not much fun going to the eye doc.

I've gotten good and picking metal out of my own eyes :-$

Welcome to the club pal!
They say sometimes a friend with a steady hand and a magnet can save a trip to the eye guy, haven't tried it yet.

Damn, you guys are nuts doing that yourselves! I was freaked out.
Yea, the piece was pretty big. The Doc saved it and taped it in my chart at the office.

I bought some new safety goggles ! 8-[

Eye safety is a priority to me, so much so that I married an eye doctor. She must like me because I can still see. Wink
Meh.
