I asked Aran the other night, when the last time he worked on this truck, he is still trying to remember when. It's been just over a year with the Subi swap, it's been to LA twice, San Jose, Sacramento a shit load, and several 100 mile round trips, did I mention to and from his day job, daily.

Definitely more dependable that's for sure. :-# But I love the sound of my webers. \:D/

George, i had a 1914 with some 45 dells on it so i know what you mean about "the sound". One thing i hsve found is that the subaru has a distinctive whistle in the intake. Almost like a light dell chirp......then after the slight whistle its just wind noise, lol.

The only regret you will have is not having done it sooner!

I road tripped with this single cab again.. I was in my new truck so I just followed and wished I was in a Vw.. Another 130 miles or so? 95 degrees is what my truck said the temp was outside..and there was Aran doing 75mph down the freeway.

How many miles are on this? 12,000 range?

Keep the miles going!!! Badass truck, do work!!

I got to see this single up close yesterday. Andy started it up for me and it sounds al lot like a VW motor, with a nice mellow exhaust. Awesome truck! I'm a fan of the Subaru swap for sure. =D>

Andy, yeah 12,000 sounds about right. And you forgot the best part, 75 mph and i was fully loaded. All of my parts for sale, tables, ez ups anda bunch of other crap that im sure im forgetting.
Justin, good to meet you yesterday. Glad you like the truck. I love the exhaust too. Quiet as can be at idle and lets you hear it when you get on it.

Up to Elk Grove VW for a show last night, then back to work this morning. Did I mention that the entire 2 1/2 hour trip was spent the fast lane? I love my suby single!Image
