Awesome Andy! I'm getting a little closer.. little by little. I'm just trying to get something done every night, even if it's just something small. Looks like you got it all dialed in. Hopefully I will be asking you some questions before long bro.

Damn I love your car. To me, being a Super Beetle guy, it looks so purposeful. Though I think your Square is awesome, I wish you'd brought the Super to Bugorama so I could look at it and dream of my car being done. I tell you, once I get my car going, I going to drag you along to some autocross events.

I saw Matt got called out... Here's a little sbc update!
I've been driving my car, daily on and off the freeway. All weather types, no issues!
I decided to do some testing, I had 2 10" fans on the radiator, basically the drivers side fan wasn't doing anything. The hot water import is centered, the cool return is on the passengers bottom. I had the fans just fan tyed to the radiator. I bought a nice 10" spall 11amp 802cfm puller fan, made a shroud and now I'm only using that fan on the passengers side. It's working better than with 2 fans now!! The shroud basically looks like a cookie sheet with a hole in the center for the fan to suck through. Now I have more surface area that it's pulling hot air through the radiator!

All those updates were just me tweaking, it didn't need them.

Yeah I got a place. I love it, nothing but almond trees in my backyard. Dogs have lots of room to run.

New job is still good. just machining and making parts for whatever idea somebody has.

I had a local guy talk to me at a show back in March. He got pissed off at his Vw motor, went and bought everything I told him to and did the swap himself. He did it all, I just programmed it lastnight for him. First start was sweet!!!

Is that guy in Turlock?

There is a guy about 1/2 mile from me with a chop top SB that is similar to that color. I know he had a yard sale a few months ago with a VW motor for sale......its starting to make more sense now....

Bret yeah that's the guy. Really cool dude. He still has some issues to work out but I'm sure I'll be cruising to a show or 2 with him.

John =D> =D> =D> Maybe big pat will need a hand and I can come out and help him.

Making my own truss bar. Starting with the ladder bars. Top shock mount to trans mount.
Top will bolt to the shock bolt, bottom I'm going to weld a tab to my trans solid mount. But the heim joint can still be unbolted.
Just trying to make the rear suspension more ridge.

I'm thinking of doing some road racing / auto cross racing in a few weeks.

After the rear truss bar I'm going to modify my gas tank / add a surge tank.

How are you doing the surge tank?

Doing a similar setup to how Jeff in Modesto does for his EFI conversions? I'm planning something similar to mine, but with a slightly deeper tank.

Thinking about making a complete tank. I can't just add a dong'er to the gas tank because it's a super.. If I build a stainless tank then I think I can make a circle or small spot lower than rest of the tank so it will always have fuel. Supers has 168762 vent holes in the gas tank, plus the filler neck. Kinda want to use the gas flap for something else :-) Just have to pop the hood to fill it.

It doesn't have to be that deep, unless you plan on taking a nascar 1/4 mile long turn. Don't jack with it unless /until it's a problem. Try it first.

Hell you might be ok with just that... I'm not using a fuel filter, fuck it. Ill keep running the risk of a clogged injector..
