been awhile since ive updated.. I actually got the pan pretty much done, ran the engine on the stand then put it in and drove the car last weekend.. Making some good progress. Should dial it all in this weekend and be able to pull body off again and do some metal fitting and start bodywork. this car needs alot! #-o

engine lid looks better than I thought it would. kinda like a cowl induction hood for a VW.

The combination of sectioning the airbox and dimpling the engine lid gave me about 1/2" clearance. 4" tansaxle raise is about all I would do without making some serious mods or putting a wing on it lol..

I used the big airbox because of the reduction in size when I cut it.. the 36hp tin was small already and if I would have cut more out of one of those even smaller air movement.

I love how the engine sheet metal ties it all together. That's bad!

Thanks guys.. slow progress but I am getting motivated after the drive in it..

I never did mention in this build thread that the middle piece in the engine bay removes after you take off bumper.. You can literally take out the engine with no jack by just sliding it back outta the car. I like to make my shit so you can work on it without layin on your back lol. The more I think about it this car is well suited to be a drag car.. Ill snap some photos of this when I get the body back off. The inside panel comes off too see that photo towards the beginning of thread.

Trying out some epoxy highbuild a buddy of mine uses.. This stuff is the bees knees absolutely will not shrink and its epoxy sealer and highbuild all in one so no need to seal before highbuild. $240 for two sprayable gallons

So within the next few weeks I hope to be spraying some mango on this beast and digging out the shiny black pan thats buried in the other garage
