The transport truck is scheduled to arrive around noon today. I'm getting the car ready to go. I went through all your spare parts. Some of the stuff like the wheels are going to have to be fedex/ups shipped.

65 parts. Door glass and pop-outs.

I'm going to box all of this and try to find a good place in the car.

I'm going to wrap the decklid and set it in the back of the car. I think that is the safest way to get it home.

Franz,

Sounds good. If you cover hood and other stuff in blankets, I will ship them back to you.

Thank you,

Dan M.

No worries on the blankets Dan. I found some good packing material. Trash it when done.

It just loaded onto the truck. I wasn't expecting transport until Tuesday. We got the call yesterday afternoon. I spent to morning nibbing dirt out of the paint. Then did the oil change/head torque/valve adj this afternoon. Everything is perfect. Enjoy that car! Keep us updated.

John,
I'd like to do one more car with you before you retire. I hope you will do that for me. Also I hear you on the change in 17 months. I'm going to drag race full time come January 2019. 25 years of music is enough!

John, the 57 arrived on Tuesday. I have been on an island off of Puerto Rico since Tuesday AM so wasn't there to receive it. I will be home on Sunday and will definitely be taking it out. Hope all is well with you.

John / Franz,

The 57 didn't arrive completely intact. ](*,) ](*,) The truck driver seems to be a really decent dude, but wasn't taking blame until my buddy who received the car had a picture of it just coming off the truck with the damage showing. =D> =D> I will call the trucking company office tomorrow to see what they want to do. It is "only" the driver's rear fender so do you think I should take it off and ship it back to you to repair? Especially since the paint is so new? It might be good to find someone local, but would need to get the details on how you primed and painted it plus materials used if you want me to go this route.

Let me know your thoughts,

Dan M.

Forgot to mention, I didn't start or drive it in case transport company wants someone to come out and see it. ](*,) ](*,)

How did that happen to the rear fender? Was it strapped over the wheels?

If it was here, we'd probably leave the fender on the car for the repair/blend. If you want to take it off to send back, we can fix it... But it maybe quicker and easier for me to send you the paint.
