Early buses are cool because they are simple, and simple is beautiful. As the years went on buses became only slightly more complicated but work, drive, and CAMP, a LOT better! The first time I drove a bay bus I was amazed at how it drove, compared to a split it drives like a "real" car! Has anyone here camped in a Vanagon Westy? Holy shit man, I know they are not anything cool to look at, but fuck me they camp REALLY nice!! If you want the best split camper, then look no further than a 67 Westy. You're set, you're done. Not going to get any better than that.

Bottom line, VW learned a few things over the years. There's a lot to be said for progressive refinements.

I agree 100%.... My 67 fucking kill's it.. I couldn't possibly make a better functioning bus.. [-X [-X [-X [-X [-X [-X But I sometimes I toy with the idea of selling it.. Just cause I think there must be someone out there that would pay the money for a dialed in bus that needs nothing,.. :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ But I will stop talking like that now... =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
