These posts from Everett and Lind seems to indicate that Westfalia's did not have pin stripes? Can anyone confirm?

I'm tempted to stripe it today. Kevin, what do you think?

I'm no expert, but I believe it comes down to how the bus was delivered to Westfalia; if it was a PGSG painted by VW before being shipped to Westfalia then it likely would have had the pinstripe. If it was primer delivery and Westfalia painted then no pinstripe.

Lind's '58 PGSG Westy w/ no pinstripe - looks like sand green in the cab, primer in cargo area.

I think this bad boy is going to be done today!!! Bumpers are redone and ready and Franz found an OG emblem.. had to give $300 for it!!!!!!! Rusty you got like $1500 worth the emblems down stairs in your house!!!!! :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$

Franz handled the emblem... it arrived yesterday, he worked it and blasted it and painted the emblem last night. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

If you want it factory correct I believe there should be no pinstripes on this bus.

The January '56 bus might have had a pinstripe - any evidence of one when you guys stripped that bus? I don't know what color it would have been - I've seen single stripes, doubles, double below, red, blue, maybe green? Westies are cool.

This bus is rad, I'm glad you guys fixed the bumpers.

We spent the day detailing. Looks stellar and drives stellar. Perfect new glass, strait shiny paint, all new mechanicals.

Ready for Greg aka campingbox to do his thing with the interior.

I really dig this style! 100% stock other than the meaty tires and updated drivetrain. You guys killed it.
