Thank you for sharing the progress photos; it's great to see the many steps and details being put into reproducing these racks. It's impressive to say the least. =D>

I assembled the rear roof rack for the '56 last week. It's sitting in my living room shining like a piece of candy. I'll get pictures of the two racks together when they are both done.

I milled out a few sets of front rack slats and modified my rack to hang them.

First coat of finish is done - three more to go.

I'm going to try and have both racks done before we leave for Kelly Park. I haven't heard from Kevin in a while, wonder if he wants these shipped to him or sent back to SLC with the KCW crew?

The front and rear racks are done for Kevin's '56.

The slats got five coats of brushed on finish.

This is not stock, but I added drain holes in the legs and added some cavity wax for protection.

They are assembled and test fit on our '56.

I took a trip to Kelly park to show the racks to Kevin B. and to see how they held up in the rain, so far, so good.

I'm gonna get started on racks for the '58 when we get back.

Really nice work on those; lots of "nice rack" comments on photos of your bus on Instagram this past weekend.
Meh.

I was lucky enough to get a tour of Greg and Clara's operation in Olympia.....this man takes his repop parts very very seriously =D> Racks are so nice! Wish I had a westy to buy one for!
