One more day partial day of wiring and that part should be done.

We will all have to get together when our bugs are done and go cruising. I'm only doing the mechanical portion for now on mine. Great job on assembly, you work fast!!! =D> =D> =D> =D>

Most of the wiring is complete and believe it or not, it all seems to work. I am waiting on a headlight switch. PO had some NAPA part in there that looked like butt.

I would say there is a larger than average chance your hood pull is here, if it isn't there... and there is nearly a 100% chance that if I don't have yours.. I have another one.. or 10... Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink

Your really kicking ass Jim.... You gonna do your own headliner? :-k

I called Doug about the headliner--but he's booked till at least september so may give it a go myself.

Installed the new headlight switch today. It was a brazilian aftermarket piece of shit and you couldn't pull the knob out once you put the escutcheon plate on! Gonna order an original off The Samba.

Any way, got some more door glass in and the front hood set.

Headliners ain't that tough, just gotta get your centres laid out, go slow and read how it's stretching, play around with tensions until you're all the way around. Those little black springy paper clips are your friend. Go to an office supply store and buy 50 plus bulk, that and good glue! I bought a $20 siphon feed gun at the local China junk tool store worked titties! Fill that with a quality contact cement and have at er!!!!
