I was happy to be a part of it, and glad get back into the shop life routine. For once I was able to help you on a project. You're always helping me with my projects in some way.

So did you find the mystery noise and eliminate it?

Congrats on the new toy!

Reminds me of a time in my life when a few Lambrettas followed me home... Had four of them at one point. #-o

Make sure to go and put some miles on that thing!
Not only will you get more practice with riding it,
but like a lot of things, it will break in/wear in, and everything will smooth out.
Even more so with the two-strokes and all 100% rebuilt; just watch how smooth it will get as it breaks in.

Your clutch/shifter forearm will get more skilled, and stronger, right as those cables get the first re-adjustment and second lube..

People ride those things like maniacs everywhere they go, all around the world.
Big cities in places like india and Italy - they have this massive scooter rally going on every day.
After it all starts to 'click', you will see how practical they can be.
You can swoop in and out around places, and actually carry stuff pretty easy on them, too.

OOooo, I'm more than just a little jealous right here.. I'll admit. =P~

so I gotta start finishing this rig up....

on wiring.. We have eliminated the battery... But that little thingy on top of the motor with the three contacts... Those are the only wires going into or out of the motor.. But even while running.. I can't find 12V on any combo of them... But it runs on it's own??? Coil has power?? right? but I must need some sort of rectifier to get the DCVolts? :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k

Electrical Diagrams
http://www.scooterhelp.com/electrics/50.elec.html

Three contacts from the stator, you only use 2 contacts -
white cable is minus (ear under little thingy on top of the motor with the three contacts)
red one is for kill switch
yellow and green are plus - they stick together for horn and lights

You can't find 12V because it's 6V.

The stator has 3 coils one feeds external coil for ignition, the other two are for horn and lights.
You don't need rectifier AC Volts are good, unless you running battery you need rectifier AC to DC to charge the battery and is there just for parking light.
