JJ's Sand Scorcher

Postby john jones » Wed Oct 22, 2014 7:48 pm

Well.. this little gem showed up at the shop a few weeks back... It was a good deal.. I couldn't pass it up... so now.. what to do.. I have offered to sell it to some friends for just what I have in it.. but no one bit on it.. so I guess I gotta do something with it... ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) so lets see if I can keep it simple, cheap and quick so I can get to some other things I really want to work on.... Like my swivel... or another street sweeper around town driver... :-k :-k :-k

So.. Last baja.. Tires were too big.... [-X [-X [-X [-X [-X [-X [-X [-X I want skinny and tall... Thinking 7.0 x15's.. I may just use the rears.... DISliked the rack and pinion setup... sticking with a box this time.. I have never had a rack setup I liked.. although.. I think I have only tried cheap one's.. Want it all sealed up this time, door glass, I think I will keep the heat on it too..... Always wanted a body lift... but dunno... doesn't really help with anything.. I would like to make it light... so I may be able to dune it some... \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ If I keep it light.. it will tow behind my bus easy on a single axle.. or tow bar.. something to do out in the desert or when camping...

Big fan of narrowed eye baja's...

Front clip, rear clip and put it back as a stock or custom ragtop.
Yeah I know a lot of work.

It seems like it would be easier to sell when you are ready to let it go.

Some wild paint scheme like the sand scorcher has would be pretty awesome, even if you don't run any decals.

I'm really liking this Sand Scorcher idea.. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> My rendition I guess...

I have always loved going to the sand dunes.. and I have always liked RC... I'll have to buy one.. They rereleased em in 2010.. $280.00
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Tamiya-1-10-Sand-Scorcher-Off-Road-Racer-2010-Kit-58452-NIB-/291205650346?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item43cd3597aa

If I want to be able to run it in thick sand.. I need to keep it light... Then I could tow it behind my bus too... :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$
So light weight will be top of the list....

Gonna play on it some today... \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
if you keep going in circles.. Your never gonna get anywhere :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k :-k
