I had to arm wrestle Weston but I finally got my turn in the BBOE!! I spent the weekend exploring the west desert with my son Gavin. Lots and lots of miles on dirt roads. Love this bus....

BBOE is over for some love.... a full go over or spa week if ya will.... =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> First thing on the agenda was to yank the motor out.... #4 intake seat is all jacked up.... #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o were gonna freshen up the top end, so pull both heads and rebuild them or replace.. this seat looks bad.... it moved enough it was touching the piston.. :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$ :-$

^^^ Had that same thing happen to an old set of heads on that 2liter I fried coming back from Telluride 4th of July weekend. Don't know if it's manufacture issue with big valve heads, too much heat, or something else. Remember that lifter that was wallered out on the bottom end and led to a new case? After I saw that, I figured it may have caused the head intake seat issue I had. Might check the lifters on your bottom end too. :-k
Let me draw you a fucking picture!

I think our cam is fine, and it's anew case already, so I am sure the lifter bore is fine... I think it probably got hot and shit a seat, and thats it.. So we ordered a new set of heads and new set of P&C's.. as these looked well worn ring wise.. even the piston seemed a tad sloppy in the cylinder.. so anyway... New stuff on the way... Parts should arrive Friday....

In the mean time.. I told the guys to give the BBOE a GOOD once over... Lets get it 100% again!!! So... Kings and links are wore out.. so Pat is on that today.. refresh front end. I want the BBOE to be the best bus it can be for the Bradburns.. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

I forget just how awesome this bus is.... Love it.. MIss it... it is... the Best Bus on Earth..... In my opinon. Wink

John, do you have any tips when it comes to the bolt above the driver side transmission I'm thinking of putting an Allen head in there to hold it so it's easier to pull the motor.

I use a 17mm socket on a long 1/4" extension and ratchet... If your not gonna drive like an ass hole.. You could just leave it at three.. Wink Wink Wink Wink
