Not winter yet, but we had 5 degrees C (41F) on the mountain crossing from Oslo to Bergen.

Hard to avoid rain here. We have 240 days of rain each year, so it will get wet! We just put on Goretex and fleese. Thats why John put 5 gallons of paint + undercoating on the car. It will last a lifetime - and then some!

Have taken the sticker-plates off. Just a 3-day temp licence before showing it and getting the road approval. I have decided to use my grandfathers number plates. He had the same registration number from 1938 to 1960. O-1771 (O for Bergen city)

How is the car Erik? Did you get those small issues taken care of?

Franz,
Got some help on the wiper motor. Dimanteled it, and it looks like an old motor with a new - not wel fitting - "anchor" in it? Works a bit "on an off", so probably have to get a new one. Took a generator off an industrial engine here, but need to clean it up before putting it in. I also keep loosing all the power and empty the battery since the flasher on the stearing wheel is not wired through the ignintion, and it magically switches on the light when left on it's own. Got a bit annoyed with myself when i managed to poke a hole in the glove box when tearing down the radio and the wiper mechanism! Not the easiest space to work in!

Sitting in Shanghai writing this - so not much time for doing projects.

Bummer on the wiper motor. That was a Wolfsburg West 12 volt conversion armature. I had problems with the glovebox fitting from day one. It was the expensive concourse correct paper/felt version. ](*,)

Maybe the outside of the armature could be carefully sanded down to fit?

Somehow the armature is not centered in the motor. Really strange, because it only fits one way. Need to test it more to see if it may work. At the moment I just want to find time to get the car passed inspection and get my license plates. That will make life easier since I can move it to our workshop and get the electric stuff sorted out!

Yeah, they are offset like that on all swf wiper motors. Not sure why.
